Does the manufacturer's warranty become void when ABT Power is installed?
Not automatically. The official ABT Power S upgrade does not void the warranty on the entire vehicle. ABT is responsible for the powertrain-related components (engine and transmission), while unrelated systems—such as lighting, infotainment, comfort electronics, and bodywork—are assessed separately.
How are warranty claims assessed after ABT tuning?
Based on the “part-by-part” principle and the cause-and-effect relationship. A defect related to the engine, transmission, or upgrade is handled in accordance with ABT’s rules for the upgrade. A defect in a clearly unrelated system remains a matter for the manufacturer’s or dealer’s warranty and is not denied solely because an ABT upgrade has been installed.
What are the terms and conditions under which the ABT warranty for the upgrade is valid?

Scope of the Upgrade
The ABT upgrade concerns the powertrain (engine and transmission) and is evaluated within this technical scope.
Unrelated systems
The upgrade does not constitute grounds for denying warranty coverage for unrelated systems—such as lighting, infotainment, comfort electronics, body components, and other general vehicle functions outside the scope of the upgrade.
"Part-by-part" assessment
The correct approach for the dealer (Audi/Volkswagen) is to assess each specific component on a case-by-case basis and according to the principle of cause and effect—rather than issuing a blanket rejection for the entire vehicle. A defect related to the engine, transmission, or upgrade is handled according to ABT’s upgrade guidelines; a defect in a clearly unrelated system remains a matter for the manufacturer’s/dealer’s warranty and is not denied solely because an ABT upgrade has been installed.
